Our Candles
-
100% plant-based soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oils, and cotton wicks. A few scents get natural essential oils too, like the bergamot and ginger in Riverside Heights.
-
Our shop candles are 8.5 oz jars, and select candles come in one of a kind blown glass. We also pour 3 oz minis for wholesale and custom orders.
-
Because Katie pours every candle by hand in small batches, no two are exactly alike. A slightly different top, a little frosting, a shade of color off from the photo. That’s a handmade candle doing its thing, not a defect.
-
In some scents, yes. Each product page lists what’s in it.
-
We make them with soy wax, cotton wicks, and phthalate-free fragrance, and we have pets at home ourselves. Still, every animal is different, so burn candles in a well-ventilated room and keep them out of reach of pets. Island Tails is the one we made for homes with pets.
Candle Care Basics
-
Long enough for the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar, usually 2 to 4 hours. That first burn is what keeps your candle from tunneling later. Never burn more than 4 hours at a time.
-
Yes! Trim it to 1/4 inch before every burn after the first. A trimmed wick means a smaller flame, less soot, and more hours out of your candle.
-
Usually because the first burn was cut short before the wax reached the edges. The good news is it’s fixable, and the full guide walks you through it.
Giving Back
-
$2 from every candle sold goes to our featured Rescue of the Quarter. Wholesale candles send $1 each. Donations are based on completed sales.
-
Rags to Riches Animal Rescue, a foster-based rescue in Tampa that focuses on medically needy and disabled animals.
-
The Rescue of the Quarter page has the current rescue, their story, and what your candles have funded. Instagram gets the updates first!
